the Smoothie Pilot
I bought this 450 size helicopter a few months back from Xheli (I am NOT promoting this vendor at all. In fact, stay away!), totally out of curiosity. I used to owned a Esky CP v2. In fact, I still do, its airframe now is a part of my Frankenstein heli:
what is a junkie heli plus another junkie heli equal to?
This aircraft came receiver-ready. I only needed to add a 3gx unit and a Spektrum sat rx. Updated to version 3. During initial fly tests, its tail was switchy just like the predecessor in stock form. I yanked out the stock tail servo, added an Align DS420 and a 10-amp Castle Creations BEC.
It looks cheap (mostly plastic) and is light like a feather. It is cheap ($158 at the time). But its power ain't so.
Only thing that disappointed me today is the quality of my hat-mounted cheap cam. It's well on its way out of the door. Sorry about that guys.
