It had to happen one day.

Well, its over two years since I crashed a heli.
The countdown clock was reset today :( DAY ONE.

I Pile drove the Warp into the deck at full negative.
I wasn't even doing anything crazy. Total and utter DUMB THUMB.

I have now discovered just how strong these Warp 360s are.
Full speed into the deck and all that broke were the skids, tail fin and one main blade. Thats it.
Skids and tail fin can be cut out at my friends workshop from some G10.
Just have to order new blades.
But as its going to be down for a while, I think I will do a full strip down, since its never been touched since new 1.5 years ago.
Just super thankful it wasn't the Goblin :)

Wow that's one tough little bird. that's the sort of crash that killed the protos, your goblin would have cost a small fortune.
Its summer. Fly, crash, fix, repeat... And all that.

Wow! I saw the title of this thread and then noticed that "Lee" was the author of this thread and I immediately feared it was the Goblin, lol. Glad to hear the damage is minimal!!!

The body of these little guys are like a fortress. There is nothing to break.
The main shaft is 6mm and very short, so it is very hard to bend.
There head is rigid, no thin feather shaft.
So there really is only the sticky out bits to break.
I can't believe that the tail boom didn't bend.
The heli actually left a hole in the ground it hit so had.
I did forget to mention the canopy. That didn't break. It just popped out a bit of the gel coat.

14+-+1

Can't find NHP blades that small.
Looking at the Align 360s £14 for cosmetically flawed. Who cares when they are spinning at 3000rpm :D

I recently bought align seconds:( described as slight cosmetic:( they were that bad I would not fly them on a HK never mind my Trex 450.

I think I posted the pictures on a thread on here, there were gouges out of the underside of the leading edge that someone had tried to fill badly, I was expecting paint flaws or scratches, would of been better burning my money:(

How bout a nice set of rails? Expensive to get though. 326mm are $40 who knows what 360s would cost.

Ordered a set of Tarot 360s for $19 shipped.
Exactly the same as the original compass ones.

Bummer Lee. I also thought when I saw the thread that it was your Gobby! Glad it wasn't. I must say, that is one tough bird.

Blades arrived
Tarot 360mm. Look exactly like the Compass ones, but only $19 shipped.
There are a couple of slight blemishes, but nothing you can see unless you stare at them up close.
