It may even be longer than that. I guessed. I based that on one section being about a third of the length of our current strip after having someone tell me a while back that the current strip is 300 - 350 feet long!

And, it's going to be RED!

very nice wish we had that we have grass. they won't even let me build a slab for a TT heli so I don't strip gears lol

Only place to fly closest to me with a solid runway is Chicago model masters at kickapoo woods they actually fly turbine jets there

That's one of the advantages of horizontal blades.
Who needs a runway.

UPDATE:

Apparently the club leadership has plans to rearrange a lot of the field layout. I hear that they are going to lay the new strip parallel with the existing strip until fall when the older strip will be removed, and grass will be installed in its place... They have other plans too I guess, but they haven't brought them to the membership yet. Our meeting is Monday night, so we'll see what they have come up with!
