build is going well at the moment. I just ran into a small problem with the hardware, i assembled one side of the frame fine, when i came to the last 6 screws the ones that were left were too long. I checked through the spares bag and there were 2 the right size, for the other 4 i cut the long ones down and filed the end.

thanks guys.
Ive run into another small problem, 1 of the washout arms is too loose on the swash plate and doesnt stay on the ball. ive ordered a replacement but it will not be with me until wednesday because of a public holiday. ive just popped the canopy on the frame to see how it looks, wow its massive compared to my 450.

It's amazing what good quality can do in a build. No sanding, no fitting, things just fit.

What is in the Smirnoff can? Or what was in the can? I have never seen that can before...

Since I got to this thread to late I will still make the suggestion. When I built mine I had used the wrong screws in the top block when I put it on the frame. I then had to undo the screws and redo about 4 screws. On the bottom block I had longer screws because they were fitted with washers that were for the adjustment of the main blocks (up and down). Mine was designed to accommodate different size servos.

Mines the same to take different servos, but it was like those crazy italians just chucked a load of screws in the frame bag and said thats enough. Lol the manual was asking for m2.5x8 and i had none that size the shorter ones were too short and the long ones too long, so i just cut down and filed the longer ones to ariund 8mm.
Other than that the kit has been pretty much perfect. Ive done a bit more now the boom and tail are onand the epoxy is curing in the boom supports and bell crank push rod.
Tony the smirnoff can was a promo thing i use it to put my tools in when im working on my heli's
