I still haven't ordered my batteries for my big plane, the FB Albatross, but I wanna get started locating the CG. How do I go about doing that? I'll show you what I did, lol.

That's a good tip. Only thing you didn't mention (unless I missed it) was matching the size of the battery as well so you can set perfect placement. Other than that, great tip. Oh, and I have that same scale. HF FTW lol.

Yes, you are right.

Not only did I weigh the mock batteries to the website's spec's, I did cut the pieces of foamboard to the dimensions of the batteries. This will allow me to locate the CG because of the weight of the batteries but it will also help me to plan out battery location. When I find the battery location, I can simply mark that spot so that I can add velcro straps to attach the actual batteries later on.
