What am i doing wrong?

Well Im siting hear the last few hours. I've got about 20 minutes of video that i'm trying to edit down to about 7 8 minutes. I've got it down to 17 minutes now by selecting A start and end time. I'm useing windows Live movie maker. I can find the edit and trim tool. How do I work it! I don't want you guys to get board watching 17 minutes of my boat going around! LOL I'm trying to make it exciteing! I'm stumped and tired.

never fear Utube is here. I use Roxio 2012 which comes with a suite of tools including Video wave which is awesome. but.... you didn't say you have that so hello Utube.. can't wait for the vids..
