Hi all, question from a fellow newbie here, im getting a bit confused with this hh mode etc, not realy looked into this yet, no not sure what it does or how it should be set on my 450 L. Just set the tail rudder up as per superb vid on here, only glitch is no compensation movement when i spin the heli. Any ideas? I wonder if its to do with gyro settings. Thanks for any help guys!!!!

Mda1701d, I'm sorry but I have moved your post to the 450 Helicopter section. You posted your question in the 600 Helicopter section.

Hello graham,
Sorry, i mean when rotating the tail testing on the bench. Yes, 3gx, all stock. It seems to be to do with the settings in the tx, its a dx6i, settings for the gyro. I turned both settings down to 35% and it started working. I think these settings will need altering again before i attempt to fly it !

I have the same DX6i if you need settings I can tell you mine:)

Gyro:
RATE SW-GYRO
0: 60.0%
1: 34.0%

The SW refers to the switch FLAP/GYRO if you switch it down it goes to position 1:34.0%
:)

In your gyro menu, you must put in a positive number there to be able to get into HH mode. Also, and this is important, you MUST use a receiver with teh 3GX when using the DX6i. If you are only using satellites, then your tail gain channel is aux2 which you do not have. Put something like the AR6210 on there and it will start working.

Thanks for the settings graham, this should give me a good benchmark to start from, and fine tune if needed after. For sure, i want to eliminate as many variables as i can before that do or die first takeoff and hover!
Also, thanks for the further advice tony! When i was first trying to get all the electronics connected, i went online to find help, as the instructions are as clear as mud lol, and this is how i found your website. Your vid on connecting the 3gx and 6ch reciever is great, shows exactly what goes where, and which way round! Once more, thanks for that. I do have the reciever setup, with one satelite, that i have placed on the outside of the frame. Next job on the list is to set up the speed controller.
Thanks again both!
