Today was my first FPV flight and i think i've been spoilt.
This was the set up i used.
I flew this glider for 15mins without power using thermals alone to stay up.
Thanks to Inaki seen in the photos for allowing me to fly his plane and giving me lots of advice on my first fpv flight.
Yeah you will. Start out with the FatShark Goggles and the Transmitter from HobbyKing. I think it's either $300 or $400 to get started. It comes with everything you need and runs on 5.8Ghz. Your range is limited with 5.8, but it will get you into it. I have thought about it just can't afford it.
You don't even need the goggles to start if budget is an issue. You can pick up a cheap LCD screen to get started. But goggles are the best way to immerse yourself in the experience.
The only reason I suggested it is because it's sold as an "all in one" package. Great way to get into it. But I agree, you could go with an LCD screen, but you would have to build a box to keep the sun off the screen.
