Batteries Battery Charging

Is it best to charge a LiPo immediately after use (after its had a chance to cool) or just before getting ready to go flying? The battery may sit for a day or two till its next use.

That depends on how low you let it get. As long as you keep it well above 3V per cell, you can do either. 1 or 2 days isn't going to make much difference.

If you are leaving it sit for a couple days, I would put a storage charge in it until the day you are ready to fly. Then I would put the full charge in it.

And if you have a wonky Hyperion charger like myself, you might as well put a full charge into it if it is going to be a few days. I found that putting it into storage charge on a depleted battery causes the charger to charge to full capacity, then it does a discharge down to storage levels. >.<

Bass-ackwards if you ask me, but they must have their reasons.
