Other Car receiver issue?

Hello,

I just got a Carrera RC car, and when I turn on the car and transmitter and press or turn the car it will go and turn off once I let go of what I was doing. So I would press accelerate, the car will move but if I let go and stop nothing would happen, unless I turn off and on again.

I have been told it could be a ESC or receiver issue. I have looked on YouTube on how to replace and the components but once I opened up the car it was old school tech board in there.

What is the best way to replace those items. I intend to buy items from hobbystation in NZ.

Thanks

It looks like it has a brushed motor ( 2 wires , brushless motors use 3 wires )... so you'll need an ESC that is made for one of those. You'll also need to know what voltage it requires as well as the amps the motor may pull so you can get one that can provide at the very least that amount or more if possible.

Randy's right. It's hard without specs. My esc looks like that but for brushless motor and my truck is 1/10th.
