450 Exceed 450 help needed

Hi all, new here and first post.
I have an older Exceed 450 size that has some issues and I'm hoping there are some answers out there, thanks in advance. Biggest one is I have a broken piece in the rotor head. I found parts at two online stores but their checkout doesn't work. Hobby Parts and X-Heli.
Can I just put a different rotor assembly on it? It's a 5mm shaft, would say a Trex 5mm rotor work on it?
For reference, it's identical to Exceeds Blue Ray, but doesn't have the blue parts in the rotor head. It's a flybar Heli of course being older. I also have a tail rotor belt that's not tight enough and skips the cogs if that's the right word....

Hey Paul, If I remember right, the Exceed 450 was pretty similar to the old Align SE V2. As long as you can get the swash setup correctly and there is a way to actually secure the main gear to the shaft, I don't see why you couldn't get another 450 size head and put on there. Might have to do some drilling to reposition the holes, or you may be able to use the stock main shaft and modify the head block.

For these older helicopters, it is getting increasingly more difficult to find parts for them. Everything is going to "Drones" and things that you don't actually have to "fly" which just isn't the hobby it used to be. The fact that you are sticking with the older challenging helicopters is awesome! If you can post some pictures of your helicopters, I can compare them to my birds to see what options may be out there. But as stated, I'm sure there is a way to make a different head work. And what piece is broke?

Thanks Tony, your response is greatly appreciated!
The part that's broke is referred to as a "plastic rotor housing." I will try to attach a picture of it.

I have always called that a head block. And yea, that is pretty much just an SE V2. Here is mine, don't worry about the beard, it's been a while... :lmao:

That belt definitely needs to be tightened. Just loosen your tail block and pull the tail shaft out, then tighten back up. If it doesn't hold, you can wrap the tail shaft in tape where it sits inside the block and it will tighten it right up. I use either Scotch tape or electrical tape, depending on the gap.

Post the link to the head setup you are looking at, That head I have sitting in that picture is off of that kit (HobbyKing HK450GT) and I have no use for it. We can work out a deal since you are in the states.
