Hi,

I have been flying for many years starting with control line and 2 channel gliders back in the late 70's, along with a Tamiya F2 car (Ralt RT2) Have had a long break and now getting back into flying with designs from flitetest.

Just waiting for the weather to get better.
 
Welcome to RCH! Sounds like you are in for a larger shock than I was when I got back into it. From NiCd to LiPo was enough to confuse me lol. If you have any questions, all you have to do is post up!

Thanks, indeed I used to make planes from balsa and tissue soaked with dope. Now its all foam and depron
 
Yup. there are still plans out there that you can either purchase or download, such as the telemaster, that still use balsa. But there really isn't any dope left around anymore except on the ones that have to stay super light. Most use either monokote or ultracote.
