Hi there

Just joined this Forum.

I've just got a Trex 550E DFC w/3GX 4.0 installed. Your videos have been very helpful so far. Went today at the field thinking everything was all set but one of my friends notice that my aileron compensation was going the wrong way. Couldn't figure out how to set it back right but when I got home I re watched the Dir setup video and saw what I was doing wrong, I wasn't in DIR mode. Some of the guys have the 3GX but they set it up a while back so they didn't remember.

I will go through all my set up to make sure all is 100%. All this is a bit overwhelming, my little Trex 450 w/FLB is much more simple.

I do have a question. When I'm in regular mode like for normal flying not in DIR or set up mode, my Elevator servo jumps a little every so often is that normal?

Hey Kev, Welcome! Glad you caught the Aileron thing before you got up. Could be reading the first crash description. I am sure someone will chime in that knows a bit about the 3GX. You may be asked to move that question to the Gyro or Servo section. There is no 550 section yet, but someone in either the 500 or 600 sized heli subcategory may be able to field your further questions. Ask away!

Thanks EyeStation, yes I didn't want to take a chance my friends either, they made the right suggestion go back home where you can concentrate. But I did fly my Trex 450 and my AJSlick here(Montreal Canada) it was a very nice day 18° (about 65F) almost no winds.

Welcome to the forum. You have a great helicopter there. We are not supposed to answer question here in this forum, but I will answer yours since it's quick. The servos should not jump. If it's jumping, then it may be a bad servo. I would contact the dealer whom you purchased this heli from and see if they will warranty it. Make sure it's just one servo (the rear one). If it's all 3 jumping, then you could have a bad gyro.

If you need any help with the DIR setup, or any other setup, just post up in the 600 section, or in the gyro section under gyros. Or you can also post under the 3GX section in the articles section. But no worries, if you get confused, we can link you to those sections.

:welcome1:
