Super Mod & DEAL KING!
Friend of mine gave me a mcpx-BL . it was in a pretty unfly-able shape. washers missing from the head, tail looking like it will fall off etc.
I put a little bit of $$ into it, and restored it to better than stock condition .. minimal upgrades: metal yoke, metal swash with a rear swash guide, longer boom , better tail motor holder , Lynx longer main, Rakon tail blades .. and ofcourse new stock plastic frame, and new feathering shaft
when I took off after this, I COULD NOT believe why I had never bought the Mcpx BL (factory BL) , not the converted mcpx v1 or v2. ..
The MCPX BL flies SO WELL!! it holds its tail so amazingly.. I was doing funnels, backward hurricanes, and the sucker kept its heading like a champ!!!
I have put 12 fllights on it total.. and the 12th flight... the SAGA of me and rooftops / treetop heli losses returned.. HAHAHA.. it got of of control as it climbed a bit high close to the building looking into the sun.. and i cut throttle , and it dropped onto the roof..
Luckily, there was a fire escape like access, BUT was locked, and that meant to involve people from my company, explaning what I had lost up there, and getting code for the ladder access HAHA
Anyway.. I got it back. broken main frame, and burnt tail motor as it hit pretty hard apparently on the side of the roof before going down.. here is a pic of me when I went up to retrieve it..
I bet people here know my other stories of when I lost my mcpx v1 on my apartment building rooftop 6 years ago..
Then my 450 on top a tree (involving fire engines) ... yeah... good memories came back
by the way....
this got me a bug.. and I now have on the way a nano cp S and another mcpx BL from another forum user, and ofcourse a tail motor for my current MCPX BL
my mcpx v1 converted to BL was too much to fly. it was twitchy, it broke crap everytime it crashed, and it was an angry hornet.. the stock mcpx BL is a nice bird meant for some awesome practice...
LOVING IT
