I've been learning heli's off/on for the last few years on my own.
Last year, I put together an Align 450 Pro FBL and was doing great (approx. 100 flights) until I had a gryo flip over on take-off. This caused me to give up for 6 months then got a 130x this summer. The 130x was great at first but once the tail problems started, it hasn't been right for a few months.
During the build / setup with 3gx 4.0 on my 450L I came across Tony's setup videos and it couldn't have gone smoother. 3 flights for adjustments and fine tuning and now it's awesome.
I'm appreciative of the help online since I don't fly at a club. My skills are intermediate with some 3d flips, rolls and inverted flight. I don't expect to ever do true smack down 3d since I don't like paying for crashes and have older eyes and thumbs.
