20 years ago I was flying gliders off the cliffs in La Jolla. Had kids, watched them grow up and now back into the hobby of R/C'ing. I always loved R/C helicopters from the moment i saw them: complexed, difficult and looked expensive! Back then you had to have an arm and a leg to award one, hence, the glider route. Flew RC planes as a high schooler but to messy and hard on the fingers.
Anyway purchased a MSRx RTF about three week ago - (went to a few forums and looked at Youtube videos to get up to speed), bought a 120 SR last week so I could go outside last week and just purchased a Nano CPx and a back-up off eBay. When I get in to something i go all in. (Don't tell my wife). The sport has come down considerably since those early days. I can afford a $40 RTF micro and a $100 120SR and throw in a $145 Dx6i for good measure. To actually fly something (in my house) was a real treat for less than $200.
