Hello everyone. Getting back into the hobby after a 10 year lapse. Long time scratch builder of nitro planes from .25 to 1.20 size. Lots of kits and a few ARFs thrown into the mix as well.

The electrics were something I hadn't tried until now. I bought a Flyzone Corvalis with a Tactix TTX650 for starters and IMAX B6AC to keep things charged. Looking to do a Dollar Tree foam build of the Goldberg Freedom 20 in the near future but still watching YouTube for videos of all the different builds. I happened upon the RC Trainer build series which led me here.

Hey JV, welcome to the forum. I remember back in the day people were doing combat flying with coroplast nitro planes and it was a blast. Don't see much of it anymore though.

If there is anything we can do to help out, just let us know. Make sure to post up some pictures of your toys.

:welcome1:

All are scratch built until I post other wise.....All of them I either drew up the plans or redrew them from magazine articles from the late 80's and 90's.
1.20 size and .28 size version Y2K.jpg
1.20 size Slow Flying fun Fly and a .28 powered 48" version I called Y2K as I built it on 1-1-2000
Astro Pig.jpg
.25 sized Astro Hog renamed Astro Pig
Fun Fly.jpg
.46 Fun Fly form internet plans from Australlia Fuse broke and I shortened it up and it flew better than new
Gee Bee R2.jpg
.25 sized Gee Bee R2 Hand made fiber glass cowl and muffler. What a hand full to fly!
Giles 202.jpg
Giles 202 complete scratch, drew plans myself, sheeted foam wings and another fiber glass cowl .46 powered a real good plane until radio interference let it get the best of it and took it out of the sky.
JN 4 Jenny.jpg
Jenny JN-4 Cloth and paint 4 stroke .52 Sweet flyer with rudder mixing.
Pro Ag 40.jpg
Pro Ag 40 One of my favorites, made even better when the fuse broke and I removed the horizontal stab
and moved the rudder forward and rebalanced it. Unbelievable what that thing would do in the air.
Look Out!.jpg
Dubbed "Look Out" after it's first flight and the aileron servos gave out and had to be replaced. Started out with a 1.08 two stroke and ended up with a G23 gas engine. 60" wing span and 10 lbs flying weight. Drew that one up after building an Ultimate for a guy.
US Mail.jpg
.25 sized US Mail nice slow flyer
Trainer wing bash- Hog Wild.jpg
Super Sport Trainer wing bash on a low wing scratch fuse.
The combat HOG WILD and the two below are kits.
Great Plains RV-4 an P-51
