Hi guys, there are a lot of different aspects on the maximum temperature a nitro engine can safely reach. Does it depends on the size of the engine? If you have a big block what might be a safe number for a safe operation?
IMO, 220ºF is the max that I would run an internal combustion engine that is air cooled (about 102C). This will provide a very long life for the engine. But, you can run upwards of 240ºF, but your life will be reduced.
