450 swash plate leveling question

ok i am level at mid stick 50 in 50 out, however when i go full positive collective i loose about 1 mm on pit and when i go full negative collective i loose 1 to 2 mm on aileron, even though you level the swash at mid stick shouldn't your plate be level during the full range of travel. if so how do i fix this. should i go in to dir and use the sub trims, cause adjusting the linkages is giving poorer results.

This is normal. The most important thing is that your swash is level at mid stick. As long as you do not get gaping holes on bottom and top, you are good. (You should also control your collective range, as you might have a lot of range and the gaps will get larger the more range you have.

The reason causing these top and bottom gaps is most likely sub-trim used when setting your servos to 90. If not, you can bet there is some geometry issues.

But if you cannot get the gaps out, do not worry - if they are very small, it should not be a problem.

Its got to be geometry issues, due to the fact the servo horn that are on there required no sub-trim to 90 out. I got lucky not having to use trim. and if i did use it it would knock them out of there 90 believe it or not.

and no the gaps that are there are paper thick.

On FB heads you can use servo travel to adjust these gaps out at min and max, but on an FBL that won't work and I wouldn't worry about it anyway. The FBL unit should recognize a bit of uncommanded ail or ele roll and adjust to compensate accordingly.
