Question for those of you with winter time experience. Today, thanksgiving, while visiting family in upper NC I rocked a few batterys... Nothing but open fields and big sky on the family farm. I could hear the head/grips squeak when pitching. I personally thought I had greased the piss outta spindle/thrust.... Flights seemed different to... Pitching effect was high... I adjusted the beast and got that back to good... I'm rambling... Does cold weather effect electric Helis?

Well, I would think that if you have greased bearings, the grease will get thicker and won't allow as much "free" movement. Same thing with oiled parts. Also, batteries don't like being cold. I have no issues flying when it's cool, but not when it's really cold, like it is right now around me. But...when the temps are cooler, I keep my lipo's in my pockets to help keep them warmer. I only do this because I heard about that from a heli semi-pro at last years IRCHA event.

I hope this helps!

I hope what I said makes sense. It's just one of those unfortunate things about flying in cooler weather.
