Trucks Tmaxx problems

I just recently bought a tmaxx 2.5 classic (he said) with a 3.3 motor. I watched tonys videos and broke it all down to nothing and rebuilt it all and cleaned it. Today i finally got it ready to fire. New plug, new fully charged igniter. It fired up and ran tell i took off the igniter. Same thing over and over. Went through 4 plugs. It wont stay running even with carb set at factory settings and played with them all. Any ideas?

FYI... factory settings are only a starting place... it still needs tuning of the air/fuel mix ... and as D.O.G. mentioned, make sure the fuel isn't old

I did find out I installed the piston backwards. Fixed that and totally cleaned carb again. Still getting it to run with glow plug ignitor but dies when I take it off. Piston is stiff when pushing it up so still has compression

Here's my next question, how old is your glow plug? When I had my nitro truck, I used to change my plug often so I always had a new plug for backup.
