Trex 450 - Slo mo spool up and takeoff

Hey all! I thought there might be someone that might find this interesting. I took some slo-motion videos with an iPhone of a spool-up and takeoff with my Trex. I'm sure this has been done a million times (I see others on youtube), but hey, the more the merrier. Mainly (as a geek and developer) I was curious if the video could keep up with the blades or not... NOT! The video on these phones does 240 frames per second. By my calculations, the avg head speed on these helis in ~3600 rpms (+ or - a couple hundred). That works out to 6 times on the rotors per second. That should be 40 frames for one main rotor blade rotation. However, the video still plays back at ~30 frames per second... so its lost in a blur still.

Anyhow, enough geekery. Here are two videos; the first of the full spool up and takeoff, and the second is just the takeoff part:

Just takeoff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8qu-bMgd0U

Take care!

Well, I'm retarded... posted this in stories instead of videos. 'videos' is in the forum description as 'if you have no videos'... I searched for it, saw the keyword, and ran with it. Sorry all. Please, if you're an admin, move the post for me to the proper forum.

Thanks!

I think I need to get my hands on this phone just to see what I can do with it lol. Okay, not really. Left apple 4 years ago and can't go back. But I would like to play with the high fps.
