It's what they eat and how stressed they are that determines the taste of the egg. And it's going okay, still need to kill 4+ roosters. I say four PLUS because we have chicks (9 of them) and I'm sure some of those are roosters. If they are, then we will cage them, feed them, then freeze them for the smoker. Oh yea, the wife said she left probably about 3 dozen eggs in the boxes to see if the hens will hatch them. Hoping they do because if that works, and they survive the roo's, it will help out a lot from buying a dozen or so a year. Oh, and the moisture comment was more redundant than anything.
