okMaybe you need a glow plug if you have not changed it in a while. Glow plugs can cause all kinds of weird issues when they have age on them. The engine doesn't sound happy though. Carb could have a small piece of trash in it causing the lean condition. I'm just not sure since I'm not there with it. If it were mine, I first would reset everything back to factory specs, make sure the carb is perfectly clean and replace the glow plug.
