Going for a maiden flight with my new home built S.P.A.D, The ASP 61 two stroke started fine. I went to taxi out at 1/4 power and the engine died. I restarted the engine and noticed that the RPMs dropped as soon as I had removed the glow starter. When I put the glow starter back on with the engine running, the RPMs picked back up. I did the same thing off and on withe the same results of RPM gain and loss. Common sense tells me that I need a hotter glow plug. Has anyone any suggestions on this or experienced the same problem?
