I have a thought in my head (dangerous words). This is a project that has been inspired by several other sources.
I want to build a custom 500mm FPV quad powered on 6S. My first thoughts were to use 10" props on some 6S 450 class helicopter motors. I was given 4 Align 6S 450 class motors. If I do build the quad with these motors, I'm beginning to become concerned that the quad would be too "floaty." Any thoughts on this?
so....I have these motors, maybe I'll use them, maybe I won't.
Readymaderc.com has some 60amp BLHeli esc's. I was going to order them.
I'd also like some suggestions/recommendations for a new flight controller. I've only ever used the Naze32 rev 5. I've heard some bad things about the rev 6. I don't want CC3D.
I look forward to reading your thoughts/suggestions.

I imagine I'll have to guess-timate the AUW of the quad. Then search for motor/prop combos that will lift that guess-timated weight (plus 3-4 times that amount), divided by 4.
