EDF Retract sequencer question

Not sure about this. Putting together this Viper and the gear door sequencer has a battery port and a signal port. They say to use 7.4 volts to the battery and they give you a male to male extension for the the receiver signal. Im thinking the battery (center wire) on the signal wire I should remove right? Cant have two power wires Im thinking. Very vague instructions.

I've tried, cant find anything. Only thing I can tell is its a Electron retract system. But its a over 10 year old model and I don't think they make it anymore. I'm pretty sure you use only ground and signal, that's what is marked on the controller. I tried to email Electron, their still in business... See if they respond. Thanks
