Anyone shipped via ups lately? I shipped a 3.5lb helmet in a 14x14x14 box via ups store. They charged me over $50! If the helmet hadn't cost $300 I would have thrown it in the trash but it's a warranty claim so $50 is cheaper than a new one. I'll be selling the new one they send me. HJC i100...stay away.

I have never been much of a fan of HJC helmets to be honest. But yes, if you ship anything over 12" and you go to the store to create the label, they overcharge by about double. IMO, USPS with insurance would have been about $25. But, you may have one of those post offices that can't be trusted, so there is that lol.

I'll probably try and get another Icon helmet. I don't know. I do want a modular style. Icon doesn't have a modular but they have one that makes it easy to install my Packtalk Bold comms device. The modular ones make me have to use the boom style mic and it's a pain to install. It's right in the way too.
