I'll have to dig some to see what I find. Something in the tail system is amiss. Something is being overlooked. Not sure what it is but its there. Personally I would tear it back down and relook at everything. Us your other one to help find any issues.

I tore it down last night....am just gonna put motor back on
it, I have enough spares that I am just going to start all over
with it....I'm like you, I have to be missing something very
simple....before it started doing this weird complete tail blow
out last night I had it where it would hover very nice, tail would creep
over when small amounts of throttle were introduced
and then if I popped it, well it would zing over to the right hard and fast.
Idle up was uncontrollable! But it's gotta be something very
simple and over looked even maybe...I just don't know what.
Thank you for your help, and yes if you happen to
find something I'd appreciate hearing....
For now I'll set it aside, add a little in the new
build here and there, take extra time on it...
But I just want both birds flying shape right now.
So I'll have 2 motored ones till then...

It would be easier for me if I had the same setup. I have been taking stabs in the dark on it. Tomorrow i start my long weekend off (7 days off straight), except I have army stuff this weekend.

Let me see what Google turns up.

This is the first thing I found. Its the upgrade using align parts. Not sure if this will help you. My data is almost at limit so I did not watch the video. This is on HF.

Blade SR Belt Drive Mod (Not Crappy Freestyle Hobby!!!!) - HeliFreak

I also found a PDF of the FSH tail upgrade. It outlines everything you need to do to install the upgrade. It shows the tail blades being trailing edge control. Not sure if this is what you have.

Oh believe me I have been all over the internet looking....
I saw the same link.....the problem with that is I'd need
To buy a 250 kit from Hobby King, that tail mechanism from
Align is I think takes a 9mm shaft....I already have all those
Align 250 parts needed.....lol
I have a 450 kit coming, so that should help satisfy my belt
operating heli affliction....I really think like you I have missed
Something very basic, because pre crash it flew so smooth,
and soooo correct when I first installed that kit....just breaks
my heart how it handled post crash.
But this will bug me.....I won't give up on it!
Being hard headed, I can sometimes shaft myself! Lol
Yes it's a tail led blade too....

I got a few days off coming up. That was my first shot at looking. I am sure I won't find anything you have not already seen.

Best thing is to take every screw and set screw out lay it out like an exploded view and go at it from there.

I thought I had an idea but I didn't. Anyhow good luck on it. While video would be ideal photos of your current setup will work also. Maybe we can see something in the images. Just make sure they are in focus.

I may put it back together this weekend, tail is off it now,

I am east of Cleveland in mentor. Lived most of my life. I just left Texas after 2 years there.

Good luck on the rebuild.

Nice country up there, especially near the river/WV
Thank you, I've got to decide real quick if I am gonna
shelve the belt for now or put it back together..
Have the HK450 kit coming soon, and will
be involved with that....
Thank you again for the help and advice!

Update: SR now back to motor.....left GY48 gyro on it, first time up into a hover, she was dead on!!! Smooth as silk! I am one happy camper!
Only bad thing was, it was dark out and couldn't fly it.....:(
Already have a bare frame sitting off to the side for the return of the belted SR.....I'll save that project for a nasty winter/cabin fever few days!
Thanks to every one who tried to help me out with this, I will tackle it again though, because I just can't let it go!
