Blade SRX 200

Hi Spyder, I don't actually have a blade SRX 200 but it is common to most helicopter when something is not right.
1. Is the tail rotor on the right way around, normally aerofoil section facing away from the boom.
2. Is the gyro working correctly, with the helicopter powered up hold it (very tightly) away from you, move the tail left or right, the tail motor should start on try to pull the tail in the opposite direction.
3. Is the tail motor in good condition, maybe it is not producing the power it used too.

Hi all, not getting into an English grammar discussion........
In addition, I'd ask Spyder has the heli been involved in a crash or is it new/second hand etc. He mentions being new to the RC world so has he started off with a brand new SRX200 ready to fly? I suspect it isn't a new model.

I did bother chopper new but I did crash it once and had to replace the support chef going to the tail it has its own separate motor on the tail I didn’t replace the motor but I did replace both fans I checked the prop to make sure it was on right. The beveled side is towards the motor the motor if that is right. Not sure what to do now

Hi Spyder, thanks for your feedback. I'm not a specialist in the small helis, although I do own a Blade 150S for indoor flying out of season. I must also do a strip-down of it after a friend crashed it during a practice. My experience is that you'll find the solution here and lots of support going forward. I'll have a look into it myself as well, but it's likely that someone will tell you exactly what's wrong before I get back.

The exploded view on page 14 shows how the tail rotor should appear when correctly fitted, albeit not a very good picture. In the trouble-shooting guide on page 13 there's an entry about tail oscillation/wag but it isn't very helpful for your spinning issue.
Check everything over for being correctly fitted and tight. Consider how heavy the crash actually was and that there may be damage to the electronics that isn't apparent by simple inspection. It might be worth to simply pass it over to your local model shop to look into it for you if your building/rebuilding skills aren't yet up to speed being new to the hobby. It took me a while to get confident enough to fix most problems myself, of course with input from the members here
