;welcome1; hi dubpoet! I strongly suggest a good simulator I have Phoenix4 with the Spektrum DX5e Tx it works great for me.
I have the Align 600 ESP with a Spektrum DX8
take your time deciding what you like and want, I started with a Align 450 Plus RTF and switched to the 600 after deciding I wanted bigger myself.
I could have saved money taking my time on my first choice, but sim experience is well woth the investment!
This is a great site with very helpful people here.
