Just curious about the brand. I posted this pic a year ago. These are HiTec HS5245. I thought the top of the case that held the shafts was pretty lame.

I never had that happen to any Align servos and I've sure slammed enough into the ground, LOL

Funny you picture that, is is what happened to my case,
Just had the gear set in and it's fitted and well greased and it's now running silky smooth.

I know these are larger servos than the 415s but my experience with Align 415 servos and I am beginning to really despise Align servos. That same gear ALWAYS breaks its very frustrating and expensive. Also just having a bearing support in one spot is not a good design.
In the case of the DS415s HK makes a significantly better servo which I don't want to go to far off topic so wont list. The point is I'd likely get rid of those DS515s if it were me. Sell them and get something else. You will thank yourself later!
