Quad OSD Question

I will be getting a Cheerson CX20 pathfinder Open Source version very soon..... Ho Ho Ho...

The question I have is this. Adding OSD to the CX20 does that mean I also have to add telemetry.

I would like to get the OSD shown on the FPV monitor as I plan to FPV with a GoPro clone SJ4000. Not yet concerned about doing any waypoint settings in Mission planner so I really don't need telemetry at this point.

Seems most Video I see is they are also adding Telemetry but I just want to add OSD. Not sure if they always have to go together or not.

Would this work for that?

Its all telemetry really.
The On Screen Display, just show you what ever telemetry you have set up.
Whether that may be as simple as , battery voltage, or full GPS modes with Home arrows, Speed, Altitude, Distance, Sat strength, Mah consumed etc..

It just depends on what you are wanting from having an OSD.
