General R81 v2 receiver help

Hi, people. I'm kinda going crazy over this one... So, I have a Radiomaster T8 Lite and had bought an R81 before. It bound perfectly and works wonders with my radio. But I recently bought an R81 V2, and this thing is making me rip my hair out. It bound once with the radio but was constantly passing/cutting out. I tried rebinding it to my radio to see if it would solve the problem, but now it won't bind no matter what I do. So yeah, if any of you could give me some info on how to solve this, I'd be more than grateful. ;)

There are few users here with Radiomaster radios ... I've only heard praise on their higher quality radios ( the T8 is a very low end one, so I can't say if it's good or not )... but I may be able to give you some direction to look into. There are two directions that I'll cover, the receiver being the first since it's most likely.

I assume your original R81 v1 receiver is still working fine... This should be a decent test that your radio itself hasn't had a problem that should concern you although the radio's firmware could possibly use an update, but more on that later.

Looking at the manual for the R81 v2, it looks like they need tuned to work best with each radio. I've never heard of this step with other brands, but it is mentioned in the manual and should be where you'd start. Here is a link to the manual I found on their website ... R8 v2 Manual

What you describe is what I would think a receiver that wasn't tuned as their manual states would act like, so this seems like the most likely potential cause.

If that doesn't address the issue... or address it completely. Look on their website for a firmware update for the Radio itself ... please note do not use a Pro version firmware ( they mention that on their website so I repeat it here ).

If neither of those helps... I would contact their tech support directly. Response times for them getting back to you vary, so be patient if it takes some time.

Hey man, first off, thank you so much for the attention. Sorry for taking so long to answer, by the way.
So, I've done a reflow of the chips on the receiver, and it bound successfully. It seems to not be passing out anymore, but I haven't tested it much yet. Anyway, it seems the problem was hardware, but who knows—maybe I just got lucky, and it'll decide to throw a tantrum tomorrow. But for now, it's a win.
Anyway, thanks for the help, my man.
