General Rudder and tail servo linkage. Making the fitting work?

I am working on my first laser cut balsa kit. Ready to set up the servo linkage to the tail and rudder.
Ailerons are not a problem. The kit came with adjustable clevis ends for those.
But it came with "stoppers" for the servos to the rudder and tail.
If I install the "stopper" on the servo arm using the small threaded stud and pass the push - pull rod through the hole and tighten it with the set screw it becomes solid.
It will not swivel to accommodate the action of the servo. ???
What am I doing wrong?
The instruction manual is vague at best.
I am attaching some pictures, from the manual that they use to illustrate installation.
Also, the parts they include in the kit.
And some pictures from my plane.
Thanks for any help.

I'm uncertain what you are calling a "stopper" ... but I'm at work so I'll mention the following at the least...

The EZ-Connector should attach to the servo arm using the threaded stud you mentioned and a nut and a washer for each side of the servo arm. Make sure to not over tighten these and use some lock-tite or similar to keep them from coming loose. You will tighten the side that holds the pushrod so it doesn't slip out.

Thanks Randy.
The EZ-Connector is called a "stopper" in most catalogs.
I attached the connector as you described, if you look at the 1-4 pictures.
But the geometry is wrong when the servo moves back and forth. The rod will not allow it to move.
That is where I am stumped.
I may try to find a clevis I can adjust, I guess?

All I've ever seen them named was ez-connector and I almost always used Dubro brand... perhaps they've changed or were a different brand that I hadn't used but never had the problem you describe. As for the pics... they can't show how tight or loose you may have made them... that is why I described it this time.

The ones I used were silver colored and cylindrical and didn't have the hex shape on it... I suspect the hex shape could be handy but as mentioned, I hadn't had a problem before.
