Yes. I have been playing drums since forever...lol. Just thought I would expand a little by picking up the bass. Maybe after I learn to play it, I can learn guitar too. I`m also a photographer.Hey Geena... beside being an excellent flyer you also have musical talent, you go girl!

So Microsoft decided to install an update on my computer today. I thought fine, I will wait through the 45 minutes it takes to install and start back up. But once it did, I had some driver issues. Fine, lets just update them. The main driver that was having issues was the display driver for my GPU, so I decided to update that one first. The download was 99% done when the entire computer crashed. Tried to start back up, artifacts everywhere. This update completely killed my good desktop computer. You want to talk about a bad day. Now, I need to find $1500+ to build a new computer.

Drivers may be wrong, poorly written, or just corrupted and end up messing up a display.... but they don't break or mess up the hardware itself.
When I see various artifacts on the screen... this usually indicates the video memory is bad or the contacts on the video card needs cleaning. Of course the chance of a bad/wrong/corrupted video driver still needs to be determined as well. At worst... the drivers/updates didn't kill the hardware and if it is bad... then it's a coincidence at most and the update just happened at the same time of the hardware failure.

I`m baaaaaaaaack! Since last Thursday, I have been out of town, attending OHB 2017 ( Orlando Helicopter Blowout) For the most part, I had a great time. I got to catch up with JC, Jamie, Kyle, Bert, Raquel, and several more friends who I only see at the larger events.
Then there was Friday. I had this coming, because I broke two cardinal rules of attending an event. First broken rule: I jacked with a perfectly good flying helicopter. Second broken rule: I did it at an event. Stupid, stupid , stupid. It started out as a simple FBL controller swap on my Gaui Nx7. We removed the Bavarian Demon 3X that was one there, and replaced it with the newer Bavarian Demon Axon. I did it at the request of Bavarian Demon, and also because I wanted to try the Axon`s governor.
Setup of the unit was easy, and only took about 15 minutes to do a full setup. Then came time to go fly/tune it. Took it out to the flight line, and spooled it up......governor won`t engage. Take it back to the bench, check the governor settings and go back to the flight line. Governor won`t engage.
Go back to the bench. reflash the firmware, do a full fresh setup and go back to the flight line. Governor won`t engage. We decide that the Axon does not like the sensor governor sensor I`m using, and I don`t have another one to try. So...I ask Bert (Bert Kammerer) to bring me a Spartan governor sensor on Saturday morning.
Get the new sensor, install and set it up...go to the flight line. Governor won`t engage. Go through the entire setup one more time, and then we see it. Minimum idle values on the diagnostic menu , were not the same as the values on the governor setup menu. -45 on the diagnostic menu and -57 on the governor setup menu. Changed the value on the setup menu to -45, and BAM! Governor works.
All that time wasted when I could have been burning some nitro. I did manage to get several pulls on the X7FZ t5hough, so it wasn`t a total loss. But I`ll never EVER take a good flying helicopter apart at an event, no matter what cool new component my sponsors have for me to try.

Nah, nothing that bad..lol I did get to fly it yesterday, after the event was officially over. The sensors in the Axon are MUCH better than the 3X, and 3SX, and the governor is rock solid. Setup is a lot different than that of the 3X too, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly.

I'm about to throw this Jumper T8SG against a brick wall at a very high velocity. No matter what I do to this friggin thing, it will not map channels to switches. I'm sure I'm overlooking something, but what, that is the question.... And any support online is absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!! This may end up being a failed review right here and if I can't get this Tx to work, then there is another quad review that will not happen either...

Watched it, It doesn't show any kind of setup for betaflight. Only the cheap "toy" quads. But, I think I figured it out. What I thought should do one thing actually did another. And the other thing, did what I thought the first thing did. This open source crap is for the birds. It's like they try to make it as complicated as they possibly can. Hell, maybe I was over thinking it coming from using Spektrum for so many years. I don't know. Time will tell.
