The contact pads I was referring too... can only be reached if you remove the board and I clean both sides of them. There are 3-4 leads/pads going to the motor and the pads those connect with... then there is group of contacts and pads ( probably between 10-12 on each side, so 20-24 or so total ) that are used to connect the outer controller board to the inner electronics. Then in addition, I'll also clean the SATA and power connectors while I'm at it.

My Ford Escape failed on me again this morning... so things didn't start off very good at all. My folks had offered to help out with funding the last time it died on me... so I took them up on the offer.
I still need a mid sized SUV since I take the ex-GF to her doctor appointments and trying to wedge a wheelchair into a trunk isn't something anyone should have to put up with. After looking over the options of the Toyota Rav4, Honda CR-V and the Ford Escape, then watching over a batch of reviews... I stayed with the Ford Escape. My Dad met me at the Ford dealer and we looked around at the different offerings. We ended up choosing between two... A SEL and a Titanium model since both had black leather and everything else had either a light tan ( they called sandstone ) or a slightly darker but not by much grey ( I think they called it earth tone, why a gray is called that is beyond me ). They both looked really nice and we ended up going with the Titanium because of the hybrid package it came with. The mileage ratings are 44mph city and 37 hwy... it'll probably take 5 years to make up the difference in gas since the other one was rated at 27mph city and 33 hwy. Both have built in NAV instead of having to rely on my smartphone for that feature.

While I was waiting on my games to redownload after getting my replacement drive.... I went out and played a bit with my car's features...
First, finally got Android Auto to finally work... I hadn't realized it requires a USB connection and thought that the bluetooth connection was all it used... apparently not.
Android Auto ( and I assume the same is true for Apple CarPlay ) is a bit too limited in the number of apps that work with it to get me very excited. There are a few music streaming apps but I have over 2600 songs on a USB stick that don't take up my smartphone's data. There aren't currently any radar apps that work on it ( that I'm aware of as of yet ). There are news apps like NPR, a scanner radio app for fire, police and other similar radios, audio books... and of course maps such as Google Maps.
I need to compare the built in NAV maps with Google Maps and see if I have a preference or not. The SiriusXM radio comes with 6 months of service and I believe there are a few others that come with free forever if what I read was actually correct, but I really doubt that... the one that got my attention was the Weather that has current and forecast info as well as radar map that is ok but not great... I have the local backups like the one I mentioned, then a external drive backup... and these are repeated at my work. So if either work or home has issues, I'm covered. I like doing a local backup in the computer itself for the time it can happen in. Just guessing on how long, I think the 500Gb of used space on my home computer takes under 25 minutes to make a complete image of the drive. I can boot off of a bootable USB key and restore the image without needing to re-install Windows first.

Me; I really had a great holiday too, except when I stretched just before getting out of bed, some how I blew out my darn back again! Oh jeezo man!! What you didn't hear the scream from there?...
I'm just dang glad the NYE prep was completed weeks ago; HA! My other half might have to get off his tubby akole and do the firing when the time comes... Other than that, I need recovery time. Then I need to tell the docs to fix the problem. There has to be a procedure in the day and age.

All kidding aside, mine goes out once in awhile and the mornings of the 5 minute to roll out of bed, 10 minutes to get up off the floor from all fours, then the realization that the trip to the can is not going to be a pleasant one at all. Never a good couple of weeks.
ADVIL and floor stretching have been my dream land cures for immediate relief and quickest results getting me back to normal.

Have you tried an inversion table yet? They don't cure anything but they can certainly help relieve the pressure on the mid to lower back area and provide some relief that way. I wouldn't recommend one if you have ankle, knee or hip issues ( like hip or knee replacement etc ) without discussing it with a doctor first. I also found that only tilting about 10-25° with 45° being the most I used and was plenty to relieve pressure and don't see much reason to go fully inverted.
The procedure I use... When you first get it, set it up so you can lay perfectly flat and level with your hands at your side. If you have it balanced right, then as you slowly move your arms back over your head, the table will start to tilt slowly. Set the maximum tilt you plan to use ( mine has a strap that limits how much it will tilt ). Now starting from a level position after you get on it, slowly move your hands and arms back until you reach the max tilt and just lay there until you and your back is fully relaxed. Once you are relaxed, move back to the flat and level position and grab onto the side handles, now slowly rock back and forth for a bit... I probably don't tilt back and forth more than 10° or so ( I can't see exactly how much but it isn't a lot ). I rock back and forth like this for maybe 15-30 minutes at a time and repeat it a few times a day when it's needed. Sometimes I'll finish by going to the maximum tilt again and let my back stretch back out before getting off of the table.
The slow tilting back and forth lets your back stretch and then relax slightly. This stretch/relax method will help increase the circulation to the area since the spine doesn't have a built in circulation system ( it relies on movement to aid in circulation ). This is more about relieving the pressure on any compressed disks, decompressing it so to speak. For me, it seems to work best on the lower areas of the back than higher up by the neck but it does help some on the upper areas.
I got mine on Amazon for around $125 ( they don't have the model I got any longer it appears ). Mine is basic with a strong square metal frame. Fancier models also come with lumbar pillows and other features.

Ha, I have done the good ole stretch in bed and had a disk slip. Not fun. There are procedures, and they all require surgery. The first is they go in and put false cartilage between the vertebra in your back to keep them in place. The second is they use a very expensive piece of titanium and fuse your back. I think I would try Randys suggestions first lol.

About 5 years ago, I purchased my wife a brand new pot and pan set from Sams Club for about $150. It came with a couple skillets (8" and 10") and a 14" saute' pan as well as the shallow ribbed pan for burgers (I guess, never really used it much) along with 3 sauce pans, a dutch oven and a stock pot. And that is what we have used for the last 5 years. All Tramontina and all non stick (because if you don't over heat them, they will not release toxins. And we never overheated them... until I did haha.
The two pans we used the most were the 8" and 10" skillets. 8" for eggs and 10" for omelets. Well, since those were used almost every day, sometimes multiple times, they do wear out over time. And 365*5 is a LOT of uses.
The 8" still works quite well, but it is definitely showing its age and you have to give the pan a good shake to break the egg loose from it. But, it still works.
The 10" however, I treated a little differently. Not on purpose though. The way I would do it is if the pan was on the stove, and it was dirty, I would just put a little oil in the pan (tsp maybe) and heat it up and wipe it out with a paper towel. And that is what I did on the pans last good day, but I can't remember what came up, but I had to walk away from the stove for a bit and with the pan on high heat (glass top range), it went from hot oil to clean the pan, to hot oil breaking down into a polymer like I was seasoning a cast iron or carbon steel pan.
When you put that coating on top of the new age teflon, it doesn't act as it does on the steel/iron pans. It does the opposite, it almost creates the perfect substrate for food to stick, worse than straight stainless steel. So it was at this time that we decided that we needed a new set of pans, but the ones we found were $250+ for a set (still cheap for tri-ply), which we didn't have and still don't.
So instead of replacing the entire set at this time, we just found and purchased two of the pans that we needed, the 8" and the 10".
they came in the other day and today was the first day that we could use them (I could use them). So what do you make as the first meal in a new pan after the holidays? A Ham, egg and cheese omelet of course lol.
Let me just say, I forgot just how good these pans were when they were new. The oil from browning the ham is all I needed in that pan. Man I missed that. And even though the 10" came in with a little rash on it on the top lip, I'm still happy with the pans since both of them were only $35! Best money we have spent in a long time.
Now I just need to come up with the money for the other set so that we can toss these non stick pans that absolutely do not need to be non stick.

I'm way ahead of yah Mike.. I got a refrigerator full of Becks and a private servant on the job.. I'm on vacation whether I like it or not until further notice sooooo; bottoms up folks, ha! I liked the part about the realization that the trip to the can is not going to be a pleasant one at all. Oh man, and after you finally get there you also realize that the paper work is going to be a living hell..... OOOH Tom!!…… 
……… Nah, nah, just joking but it was rough one for sure.. The Advil and Tylenol and all that stuff my liver and kidneys can't handle anymore. I'm not even supposed to be drinking beer. But that ain't likely going to happen fully...

Hey there Randy,, I thought of the inversion therapy. My doctor said with my type of injury it's not recommended.. But yeah your right, sometimes only laying on my back will alleviate some of the pain. I was on a stretch and exercise program after my physical therapy sessions were finished.. Well that didn't take.. I knew it wouldn't...
I agree Tony, the procedures you explained is exactly what I need.. I like to put it on a mechanical level.. It's just the Honda technician in me I can't shake, LOL! Ok when you have a bad CV joint, just putting on a new boot ain't going to cut it.. It's as simple as that. My drive train is waisted, from my ankles to the base of my scull at times. But my lower back is the crippler one, whoa....
Oh hey I bought two of those Orgreenic 10 inch frying pans from the tv a long time ago. At first they were good but it wasn't long before I tossed them in the garbage... Now they have the copper one; oh my... And let's not forget the diamond coating that can take a 5 pound hammer and a jack hammer and all that... Funny,, all the handles are the same, hummmmm…… I'll bet it's all the same junk but on a different day, LOL!!
I almost forgot, we had another rescue from the Stairway to Heaven again today.. Then later the 520N returned and landed on top the old Omega transmitter building. Very small landing pad, trust me... After a few minutes he lifted off and flew up the stairway and was gone... Nice.....

I refuse to buy in to that as seen on TV crap. I have cooked on the copper ones, the green ones, the blue ones and I actually do have a griddle that is the rock one. The griddle surprised me, but it was cheap. As for my every day pans, I just stick to what works and doesn't kill the bank. The new set is completely stainless steel and once you learn how to cook on them, they are just as good as non stick pans, except you can do much more with them. You cannot create a good pan sauce in a non stick pan because nothing sticks. Those little brown bits that stick to a stainless steel pan are packed full of flavor (fond) and you add a little wine to deglaze with and add some other things to it, and yea, food to good your tongue will slap your brains out getting to the next bite.

Ha! Can you imagine those cheezie night vision binoculars with the laser laminator.. Nah,,, none would know your watching them,,,, until you switch on the laser... Now who's busted, the perp or you; LOL!!! HA!, HA!.... It's not even true IR and the laser is in the visible spectrum .. What a joke. The real setup cost 5 grand and still needs to be serviced from time to time... Yup you get what you pay for.
