thank im going to upgrade the motor wile i have the 550 apart
i have the Align bl 600mx now
here are the specs on the 600mx 1220kv motor
Kv (rpm/V) 1220
Max Power (W) 3000W (5sec)

Are you looking to go 12s? or keep it 6s

that motor will give you 10% more grunt .... which is not a lot more of increase.

how about this? ... max power is 5500W = .... well a heap of extra power! if that is what you are wanting! ..... you will have to increase your ESC to a 120Amp minimum..... like a YGE or YEP HV

Never get too wooed by the max power cause that's just two seconds :)

Recommend using continuous power as a deciding factor .. Which is 3500W so compare that .

Looks like the 600mx does 2000w continuous

and the KDE does 3050 continuous

that is a 33% increase in grunt.

and you can still stick with 6s

The Scorpion you have looked at ... is 12s and sure it is 3500w rated .... but you will definately need to make sure you are running an ESC that is cappable of 44.4v (12s).

The KDE will supply as much grunt as your ESC can supply.

Just looking for something to Get some better flight time out of it
Was thinking with the lower KV that it would help and its 80.00 bucks not 160 to 260
Even the lower kv 600MX is 140.00 . So i guess ill just leave the 600 mx 1220kv in it

lower KV usually means more grunt

The 700s and bigger run 560,530,460 .... 8 - 14s

600s.... can run 12s 600mx 560kv (I think) or 6s 1220 - 1000kv

500 can run 12s on 1000 or 1100kv and 6s on 1500 - 1650kv

With that motor, if you don't up the voltage to at least 10S, you won't get the head speed needed to fly it properly. My 600 has the Scorpion 740KV motor with 17T pinion running 8S.

I was just about to say this. The KV will not change and you will need the extra voltage to get your head speed back up.
