Who's Into Saltwater?

UPS finally updated the tracking info. I will have the filters and stuff on Tuesday and the salt on wednesday. Wondering if I should wait another week to move the tank because of this. My filter system has all but stopped because of a clogged #2 filter. If I run out of water for coffee, I"m going to be pissed lmao.

Today, we are moving the tank. I was able to get about 45 gallons of saltwater mixed up and it's heating up as I type this. Thanks to Matt (callsign4223) for coming down later to use his truck. We are going to test the suspension on that little S-10 lol.

The only thing that I'm worried about is having enough space for the water out of the tank as well as for all of the rock, corals and fish. Those 3 things, plus the sand, but that is staying in the tank, need to be kept alive by staying in water. This move is going to be a challenge, I just hope I can make it happen without losing anything else, other than algae...

My back is not ready...

Hey guys, I'm going to be putting up some live video of the aquarium setup here in the new house. Well, there is a 15 second delay for some reason. Click on the link below if you want to watch the process in setting up an aquarium. The move should be starting in about an hour or so, but will start with the tear down of the tank in the other house. So it could be a couple hours before anything changes on the video. I will also be recording it as well (If I remember to click the record button lol) and I will do a time lapse of the setup. Should be pretty cool.

Hey everyone, here is the first video of the tank all set up in the new house. The water is MUCH more clear than it was, the fish are doing fine, even after getting a little cold last night, and overall, the tank is doing good. We do still have some hair algae in the tank, but I'm hoping I can starve it out with some water changes after I get my filters.

We did do a 40 gallon water change on the tank, so that is going to help quite a bit. Just hope this thing doesn't suck the life out of my wallet in the new house lol.

The particles in the water were caused by my power heads. I forgot to turn the switches on last night, so I turned them on just before this video. That stuff will go away. And the corals are not fully opened up yet. I will be updating this soon as things get better.

Looks pretty good Tony. What were those things at the 20 second mark? And, why are some arms free flowing and the lower ones are still curled up. Is that a shock thing from the water change?

I don't know what species they are, but they are zoanthids, or just "zoo's". There are actually 3 different ones in there. The ugly ones at the bottom (didn't want these, but they came with the orange ones that I wanted lol), the green ones (these are okay) then the orange on the top. Love the orange ones especially when the white lights turn off and they flores. Looks great.

The reason the ones at the bottom are not opened up is because of the powerheads. I had just turned them on, they sensed something and closed up to protect themselves.
