Worked on the plane today.... They added a mod to the original design.
The way it was at first was to have the plywood landing gear plate glue to the belly of the plane.
Then attach the gear to this point. But as you can see they added extra section just above the tail spar.
This will add a lot of strength to the gear. I will glue it in place on the spar section, but first i did some test fitting.
You will have to remove some of the foam in the fuze where the section will go.
So I got out my soldering gun with a 12ga wire installed for cutting and got started.
Take your time not to remove to much foam, and don't leave the trigger on all the time you are cutting
it will get to hot and melt faster than you think.
As you can see this will give a place for the bottom ply to attach to. along with being glued in place
as shown here you can see the screw that will hold the section in place giving it much more strength
