Yes, those are blind nuts. Make sure you use at least 1/4" ply when using them, adn use a LARGE washer on the bolt.

Thanks for the help with this, guys! I have the day off work today, so I'll be off to the hardware store today to get some blind nuts, some bolts, and some LARGE washers, too. I thought about it pretty often, last night at work, and I am really starting to think that this will be an easy and very effective solution. Maybe I'll even have an update video later on. I'm not promising anything but I'll see what I can do.

ok well get to then derek i want this bird airborne by noon!!!! lol

you want this bird airborne by noon??? No problem!!! Fortunately enough for me, you neglected to state which day.....so it looks like I have some time to finish the plane, lol. Thanks for the encouragement, Kyle! I'm really hoping that I will be able to have a successful take off, fly it around a bit, and land it, then be able to take it home in the same condition that it was in before take off. However, if I can just get the plane to take off fly it around just once....then something terrible happens...i'd be quite satisfied with that, too, lol.

Yep...bought some blind nuts, LARGE washers, some "all thread", and some lock nuts. I was hoping to be able to install them tonight but I've got such a nasty headache, I just can't focus on anything right now.

I know that feeling with the headache. It's amazing how fast it can change your mood lmao.

Oddly enough, this headache hasn't really affected my overall mood. I'm thankful for that. However, this headache has just seemed to block the entire "focus" function of my brain, lol. I guess it happens. I'm working my usual 12 hour shifts for the next 4 nights but I'm hoping to get the wing mounted and tail servo's connected next week.

***Newest Update***

I've been working on mounting the center wing section to the top of the fuselage. Tony has me convinced to keep the fuselage the same as I had originally wanted, so I've gone back to that and this plane will still be a "pusher."

You'll see in this video that I did go with the Blind Nuts (T-Nuts) to mount the wing.

Check it out!!!

I will have to watch this at home if my internet is working. It better be working lmao.

Looks good from the image on the video though. Only thing I would do is add a corner brace under the wing against the fuse. Just make another block like the fuse is made out of, but cut the outer side to a 45º angle so it's not squared off, but gives good surface area to bolt to for not only the wing, but also to the fuse from the block.

Hey Tony! That motor that I bought for this plane, the Tacon 160 (245kv)....would you know what the "cc" equivalent would be if this were a gas/nitro engine?

I thought I had read, somewhere, about it, but now I can't seem to find it and I was just wondering if you would know.

I would love to search it out for you, but my friggin computer is not letting me search anything. I really hope they get this internet fixed quickly... It's driving me nuts.

lol...i hope they get your internet issues resolved, too.....I need your response when I ask for help, lol. I wouldn't have this plane as far along as I do without your help and your search capabilities. Hopefully they get you taken care of.

Well, it's been acting up for over a month and a half now and just last weekend it started this crap with the not letting you on pages where it requires authentication like a log in page, or a search page. IT's a bunch of BS. But, after pissing them off from calling 3 times a day for the last 15 days (yes, I"m that much of an ass when I don't get my way lmao), they finally decided to send some techs out. They replaced everything and found out it was a coding issue on one of the towers. I called them back before the techs left my drive way, said "I TOLD YOU SO!!!" then hung up the phone. They are supposedly going to repair the issue today. Fingers crossed. I need my interwebz.

you mentioned that you were being an "ass" because you were calling them 3 times a day for the last 15 days.

Let me say this...

I dunno what you pay for your internet service (it's simply none of my business), but I pay nearly $180 per month for my internet, cable, and LAN line home phone. Personally, I think it's a lot of money but I do like the service that I get from my provider. That being the case, when I do have an issue (and issues to occur, but they are rare), I call them up and let them know that I pay my bill "on time" each month and I need this problem fixed NOW!!!

I don't think you were being an "ass" at all. It's your bill that you pay for their service....lets get the service fixed....NOW!!! lol
