You can get the Slimjet browser ( a Chromium one ) that still supports XP and Vista and they keep it up to date security wise.
There is an old version of MS Security Essentials that actually works IF you don't install it's last program update, finding that version is going to be tough and then you should "hide" it's last update.
Being a 32bit ( more than likely since the 64b version is a bit rare to see and buggy besides ) OS, the max usable memory it will support is about 3.2Gb... the last .8Gb is used for IO memory space and things ( for a total of 4Gb ).
