Well it was a non starter. Went to spool up and no power. The pinion had come loose. I put locktite on the motor shaft and locktite on the grub screw, and it still came loose.

I wish I had an answer. When I used my 14t align pinion it would stop at the right spot on the shaft. There was something in the pinion that would hold it in place so it would not slip down.
The no power was just related to the fact that the pinion was turning but the blades weren't getting any fast. I held the main blades, spooled up and the pinion was just spinning. Fixing it now.
I ground a flat spot on the motor. Its ready to go but its blowing 40MPH now, so we'll have to wait. I ordered a Castle Creations Pro BEC as well just to be safe.
