Sam, you know I love Align and yes, I definately know what you think about them lol. I know it's a good deal, but this is members choice.
Thanks to another donation, we are now up to $279.16! Keep it up everyone, this is going to be one badass helicopter when we are done with it. It will also show all of the new Rc-Help pilots how to correctly build a helicopter, even if it's USED!

I really don't think the members will care one way or the other lol. Unless I see a large input of cash over the weekend. A new chaos is probubly ruled out. I'm pretty sure GABA knows his stuff now. He has surpassed me and my knollage two, three fold! Lol oh well. At least I'm way ahead FPV wise!

You are correct bro, we are now at $303.13! Thank you very much for your donation! As of right now we are $46.87 short on getting the Align that you found Jesse. However if we get the go ahead on it, I will just have Gaba pick it up for me and I will pay him at the end of the month when I get paid.
Remember everyone, this is just for the heli. There is still a lot of stuff to get for it such as servos, starter, igniter, fuel and so on. I know Gaba said he would toss in an onboard igniter, but we still need the rest of the stuff.
Those that have not donated and would like to be a part of this epic Rc-Help Helicopter Build, it's not too late! You don't have to donate money, you can donate parts as well if you have them. Do you remember how I fly? I'm going to need spare parts

By the way, and I forgot about this. If/when we get a helicopter for Rc-Help, I will be doing telemetry videos for the DX8. What a perfect way to keep track of engine temp and voltage! This is going to be so epic. We do have to figure out a paint scheme for this bird though. We can not leave it stock Align. Lets make it our own. Post up some drawing if you are the artistic type! I may just have to fix my airbrush and get back into painting.
Oh yeah, and the blue that is on it is going to have to go away at some point. I see anodizing in my future!

This bird is still at a LHS near Gaba and Jesse. Gaba is going to pick it up as long as everyone agrees on it. I just don't see getting a deal like this again and I would hate to pass it up. Great first start to a used nitro heli build.
As for the lights, I'm not sure yet. I would be looking at $200 just for the blades alone plus all of the other lights to go with it. However, it may be in the future of this helicopter. Just have to wait and see. I'm sure flying this thing at 0400 would piss off a LOT of my neighbors. Good thing I don't get along with any of them and have put one of them in jail so far
