What is the occasion? Or what did I do wrong? Well, we had some biscuits on the counter that went bad and I wanted some biscuits. Since I had to make some homemade biscuits, I might as well use that waiting time to take some bacon grease (didn't have any sausage unfortunately) and some flour and make a quick roux and use the milk that was about to go bad (expired two days ago) to make a quick pepper white gravy.
So the short? I just wanted some fresh food. Didn't do anything wrong and there was no occasion lol. I just like to cook. Sometimes.
And yours is here, come on up. We have leftovers. And since we are getting more than a dozen eggs a day, we have plenty of eggs. And since they are fresh from out chickens, as long as you do not wash them, you can keep them at room temp and they last well over a month minimum. I think we have had 4 eggs total go bad. And I think we are over 200 dozen produced so that is some fantastic numbers.
