I know I can strip it off. I can strip lacquer if I really wanted to lol. But this is more than likely going to end up being my practice body and I will paint one with better lines. Need to get some more color on it since it's WAY darker than it's supposed to be.

I will post a thread on this vehicle sometime today if I can.

hahahaha. I'm REALLY glad you reminded me. I have so much to get ready and pack that I forgot about them. Now the question is... Which glasses to take... Maybe I should take my computer so that I can test each one to see what one has the best audio. They will have the same picture.

I'm going to need it. First race in over 8 years or so with a completely new truck on a course that it was not meant for lmao. Yeah, what could go wrong lmao. Just need to spend about 4 hours tuning the setup. I do see some new springs and shock rebuilds in this trucks future.

Well, I finished 4th in the A Main after dominating the 3 heat races by at least 2 laps. Just wasn't my night. But I think I did pretty well for getting back into it for the first time in 8 years with a truck I have never raced before. And yes, I have video. LOTS of video. But it's with the glasses cam so you can't see all of it. But I will upload them when I get time.

Wow. watching this video and I'm not sure anyone would actually want to watch it... Pretty boring if you are not there.

" finished 4th in the A Main after dominating the 3 heat races by at least 2 laps." Great Job, I'd say.
At least post one of those 2 lap lead heats!

I'm editing the video now. I'm going to post the races that I was in as well as when I was cornering the races after my race. The cornering is kinda nausiating because I'm always moving my head, but it will give you guys that have never raced an idea of what cornering is like. I will have video 1 uploaded shortly, but will wait to post them here until I have them all done.

Yes, Corner Marshaling is a long forgotten skill by many. It's a sad thing they don't teach it during the open practice time here at our local track.

They don't at my track either, and I think they should. It can get quite dangerous with the amount of speed and weight these things have now. When I started racing, we had stock 27 turn, 24º motors that we ran for the stock class and novice/sportsman. Then you had a spec 19 turn class, then you had the modifieds with any motor. To run in the 19 turn class, you have to prove yourself in the novice class and win 3 races, then you had to run in the sportsman classes. From there, you could move up. Now days though, they are running these brushless motors and there is no limit on how much motor you can run. If you can hang on to it, then you can run it. And I'm running a 5700kv motor in mine, but I need more lmao.

First video is uploading.

So what got you in the A main, skill or lack of power? Takes lots of skill to hit the turn right so you don't loose speed. At least you made it to the A Main.

What got me into the A Main is the driver that was sitting next to me in the pits, Stormin' Norman, had one of those nights. He had mechanical issues in every heat race and had to run the B Main.

I know my past race experience helped me get into the A, but help from the other drivers as well getting my truck setup also helped. This truck was and is still completely new to me and I"m still learning how to set it up.

Second heat is almost uploaded. Rendering the 3rd heat now, then I will do the A Main. I do apologize in advance, the camera was looking more up in the Main. Not sure why.

I just read my post. I have a habit of not typing out all of thoughts.

What I meant was What kept you from winning the A Main, skill of other drivers or lack of power on the truck?

The other drivers that I was racing in the A have been running this class since the beginning and have their setup dialed in. They know the track and how it handles. This being my first time, I was having to go out each time and figure out what the track and the truck was going to do. I had plenty of power, but I think I need to drop a tooth on my pinion. An 18T pinion was just not enough and the 20 that I was running in the main was just a bit too much. So next week, if I go, I will be getting a 19T and that should be perfect. But, I'm going to make a major change in my car and move the transmission from the mid position to the rear to see what it does. I may regret it, but all I can do is try. But all in all, it was my lack of driving, their experience and just getting caught in some bad situations that cost me a top 3 spot in the A Main.
