Was at the cabin this weekend, riding my snowmobile, chillin and flyin 
But. I have been trying to find the best gain on my GOV for the 600, I was at value 30 (which was working out nicely last weekend) - so I tried upping it to 31. So on Saturday I took her out for the first test at value 31 - the motor started hunting... This also caused the tail to twitch as a reaction to the motor not flattening out it's head speed. I did two flights anyways - and all seemed fine.
Today I reduced the gain back to 30 again. The motor was still hunting (not as bad, but still). I did one flight - worked fine (and I got some awesome tic tocs ) Then, on my second flight, I tried the tic tocs again - then this happened:
I should obviously not have flown with it knowing that the motor was hunting - but I'm stupid, so I did it anyways. After studying the damage, I can also see that my mesh probably was a bit on the wide side.
New main gear on the way - new test flight next weekend.

Two times I've stripped gears on the JR, once on the tail case, once the main gear. Both times the machine continued to fly - but letting me know something was wrong by emitting horrible sounds Nothing else took damage
As I see it, three factors contributed to the gear strip; GOV and motor hunting, Mesh not tight enough, over powered vehicle.

Listening to your last video again Marius, I can here a strange warbling sound coming from the gears. May be this has something to do with it, or not. Maybe its a normal sound for this bird, but its whirring noise that tells me something is out of wack. If everything is aligned and balanced the sound should be a constant whir not a fluttering noise like i can hear. Listen again and tell me if you think you hear it too.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I always thought it was the motors "unique" sound. Remember, it's a low cost Turnigy motor - therefore I thought it's normal. But since you are pointing it out, maybe something is "outa whack"...
When talking about oddities; the main gear (the one I stripped) was NOT perfectly circular. I found this when checking for mesh the first couple of times - but chose to look past this, as I know for a fact that most gears are never PERFECTLY circular. Hmmm.
When the new gear arrives, I'll have a thorough check on things. Thanks Lee.

Do this Marius, email a jr rep or just horizon hobby and ask them about your power plant. In my option your power plant is good and not "overpowered"... Lets see what they say. Can't hurt and at least we will know what's the deal
Gear mesh .. Yes will cause this.
Governor hunting shouldn't cause this... At least I can't think of how it can at the moment... But I don't know everything either lol

Yes, I want to blame the gear mesh also. I see the new main gear that's coming, is not like the one I got. The new one is made from a white type of un-polished plastic instead of the black polished I've got now.
The reason I thought RPM hunting may have caused this, is because the motor was jerking quite a lot - I'd imagine this puts a lot of strain on the entire drive train for a short moment. This combined with some serious collective pitch change may put some serious torque on the gears for a short moment. If you can understand what I'm getting at?

Yeah might be.. That sounds like a possibility.
I know on my 700 the stock align white gear has stripped on people with a 5.2kw setup of higher ... (I am at 5.2kw at this moment) .. So I know over power is a possibility.
Good thing is align just came out with a black RIGID main gear. Like y'all saw those tail torque tube gears, just like that there is a main gear now too that takes care of that stripping issue. So I have black tail gears and black main gear ...

Pretty much from what I've read, Most main gears are not perfect. Thats wht you have to find the high spot on the gear. Set your mesh there. At least thats whay I've been told. I haven"t A clue has to how it stripped though. Has Tony said looks like the entire gear stripped out on you. Maybe simple thing has A bad gear from the factory?

I'll see what happens to the new one - if that one gets stripped as well, I'll know for sure I have have an issue on my hands.
