I don't know why it is, but when I do anything to do with getting a heli in the air my patience goes out of the window,

I don't mind how long it's taking me to get my flying skills up, but anything to do with repairs or spares I just can't wait,

Supposed to have an Electrical Engineer from my electric company out today as well as my house should be here today. I have no doubt on the engineer, but the house, I will believe it when it's sitting here...

Bet it feels good to actually see the house there huh?

It's amazing to watch them guys moving something that big with a little remote.
They seem to be able to place them with millimetre accuracy.

So there's hope of moving in by Christmas?
Be the best Christmas present ever. :)

There is a little hope in getting into the house by xmas, but it's slight. If there are any delays, then this deadline will not happen. This is the first year that we will not have a tree which is one thing that we do every year. A real tree at that. Because we get a real tree, there is no way we are going to find one half worth a crap that is worth having. So, we are just writing this year off as lessons learned.

I look at life this way, "Whatever happens there has to be a silver lining", there will be one, you just gotta find it.
Chin up mate, just think about what it will be like once you get in and settled.
Maybe make it a big thing for the kids to have a late Christmas.
Convince yourself to become an optimist, life is much better when you can smile at anything and everything.
And it keeps people guessing about what you are up to. :)

I am more a pessimist than anything. For me, it's more "Expect the worst but hope for the best". This way, you are not disappointed when things go wrong. But when things go right, you are ecstatic. But even this situation that we have been dealing with for over 1/4 of a year has went beyond bad, even for me. I'm hoping this is the start of things turning around. We will find out.

Septic and electrical box going in today. Not sure when they are going to run the electrical lines from the box by the street to the house though. Once they do, then they will plumb in the water and do all of the final electrical and water testing. Then, we will do the walk around in the house to make sure everything is the way it should be. And then, once I sign off on it, I will get the keys to the house and we will be able to move in. I'm thinking next weekend. You know, when that next artic front arrives and it's only 15ºF outside again...

Just came home, finished my Friday dinner and went out and had a look at the house.

The well was dug last week, and today they put in the lines and pump as well as the pressure tank, switch, adn connected it to the house.

The septic system is also in and plumbed to the house.

Everything is in except electricity which I'm REALLY hoping they put in tomorrow, but more than likely, it's going to be Monday.

So things are looking pretty good. Just wished they could have done it all by the weekend so that I could be moving in this weekend.

And the mess they made with the dirt, holy crap... I'm going to be living in a mud pit for months...

Which is a catch 22. I have a house, but don't want to go into it because I would track mud into it lmao. I could care less though. I will "Literally" live like a pig if I have to. It's something that I can call MINE!

Was just informed that it will be at LEAST 2 weeks before I get electricity in the house... I'm pissed...
